Search plugins

OK, I removed Wikipedia from my search by using the manage search engine.

firefox

Firefox is a good alternative to explorer.

Added Delicious and Zotero to my Firerox.

igoogle

Can not see using igoogle.

Not very useful as far as I see.

LibraryThing

Neat and easy to use.

Delicious

Seems very useful and not too complicated.

Added a couple of sites.

PodCasts

Did not find this to be useful.

Maybe if one has a lot of time in their hands, it might be a good entertainment.

Here is a podcast I listened to on uses of hypnosis. I was hoping to learn some techniques to entrall my students during class. However, there is no magic bullet.

Screencasts

This is a very useful tool.

My screencasts are on the Aur. Lib. tutorial page.

You tube

The instructions on posting the video on the blog were very easy to follow.

This Aur Lib video is proper for an Aur Things blog and also useful.

I think I recognize that voice on the video and if so this video is really good.

Twitter

Made an account and started following someone on twitter.

Do not see much use for this.

Chat/IM

After using IM (AskAuraria) for over a year, I think this is a very good addition to our arsenal of tools to help our patrons at the library.

Facebook

Already have a facebook account.

Have visited a friend page.

RSS feeds

Can not find any RSS button on Outlook.

Can't see much use for RSS but maybe it is useful to others.

I'll try to comeback to this application another time.

Just saw Google Reader - still do not like it.

wikis

this was very useful

flicker tools

just learned about mashups, api, and other tools on flicker

Flicker

Took a tour and posted a picture on flicker.

The avatar

That was extremely difficult to follow this instruction.

Flicker

learning about flicker

First blog

Last week it was the FAQ's and tips.

This was not too difficult, but I still do not get it!
